We've Been Busy!

Shew!  There's been a lot happening at Springfield PFWB Church in the past two weeks.  Have you kept up on all the latest news?

Cardboard Boat Regatta

For those who could not attend this year's Cardboard Boat Regatta, you're in luck.  Thanks to some excellent drone work from Jacob Williams, you can watch our Springfield Youth win both first and second place from the comfort of your air conditioned home!

Graduates

What a treat it was to recognize the graduates among our congregation this year--and all college graduates at that.  With degrees in English, Social Work, and Elementary Education, it was an honor to acknowledge Katelyn Vause, Ashley McGovern, and Victoria Mobley for their hard work and dedication to educational advancement.  It is a wonderful privilege of the body of Christ to rejoice with those who rejoice, and we couldn't be prouder of our 2018 graudates.

School Supply Give-Away

Thank you to everyone who served and supported this year's school supply give-away.  We were so busy that no one took the time to take many pictures at all.  But, with or without photos, we rejoice that God was glorified and needs were met.  We had students from Lenoir, Duplin, Jones, and Onslow Counties come to fill their backpacks this year.  We met families who shared some of their stories with us and allowed us the gift of standing with them in prayer and encouragement.  And, we placed the Word of God in the hand of every child who attended.  We may never personally know the impact of this ministry on this side of heaven, but we trust God for the results.

And what a lot of goodness we enjoyed!

We had a wonderful time in the Lord with Jeri & Larry Mercer who ministered in song.  We thank God for the healing He has provided for Mrs. Jeri, & continue to pray with her until she's restored to full health.

We also had a wonderful time of fellowship, celebrating the 75th & older birthdays from the past quarter, & enjoying a fabulous Fifth Sunday Dinner!

We're Breaking Tradition: Homecoming 2018

homecoming 2018 (3).png

We're breaking tradition!

For as long as most of us can even remember, we've always held our annual Homecoming celebration on the fourth Sunday of September & we'll get back to that tradition soon enough.  However, in 2018, there are five Sundays in September & we are also a church who celebrates fifth Sunday fellowship dinners.  So, for 2018, we'll celebrate Homecoming on the fifth Sunday, September 30.

Mark your calendars & alert those who journey homeward for our annual celebration.  For this year, we'll see you on the fifth Sunday in September.

Why do we bother with registration?  Because the safety of your children is our priority.  We need your help to promote safety by providing emergency contacts, information regarding allergies, & clear instructions regarding who can pick up your children.  Thanks for helping us create a safe environment for your children!
